Three quarters of the way through the last century, Danny beat his twin brother into the world where he joined his older brother, Mum, and Dad. Brought up in the dream-world that is Romford, Essex, UK, Danny quickly discovered how important and how much fun music was. With a euphonium playing graphic designing Dad and a music teaching Mum, he regularly heard bass lines being ‘bom-de-bommed’ around the house accompanying the carefully and lovingly selected finer moments of James Taylor, The Eagles, the Beatles, and various other creatures of size and space between.
It was only when one of his mates at school got himself a bass guitar at the age of 15, that Danny realised that he could actually have a go at playing one, rather than thinking about them. So, he (or rather his parents) got him a black shiny one and he set about learning to play the thing. His drive to become a graphic designer up till this point now started to take a back seat as he realised that playing the bass was not only fun, but made him almost cool, too.
Highlights of school are brief. Quadratic equations: Check. Head-Boy: Check (unbelievably). Blue-Peter Badge: Check. Done. Once finished there, Danny discovered that he could get himself a degree in Popular Music Studies at Bretton Hall College in Wakefield, West Yorks. So, he applied for a place and without further ado, was rejected. He had no musical qualifications at all though – so we won’t seek injustice in that one. Instead he employed all his cunning and rang college from a payphone on a beach, got through clearing and sneaked in the back door a year later. Nice.

Once at college, he realised that songwriting was a great way to spend hours, and he invested heavily in it. It was here that he figured learning to play the piano and guitar properly (rather than just pretending he could) was a good idea so he got cracking learning some actual chords and stuff. That got him going towards writing some 1/2 decent songs.
While he was at college trying to convince everyone he was intelligent, he was offered the opportunity to play bass guitar in Dave Bilbroughs band for a few years. This involved some extensive touring of the Englands fair and pleasant land, and some parts of Hertfordshire. He got shot, (without injury) at several TV appearances, and tracked (without being caught) at several CD recordings, some live and some closer to being dead – mostly his own recordings by his own admission (the dead ones that is).
Danny has now released 4 independent CDs of at least ¾ decent songs, and received some critical acclaim. He’s nearly signed record deals and nearly had songs released by real pop stars. Now, he’s nearly got another album out.
He likes writing songs and hopes that you might like hearing them ….
